Heartline & Heart House provide emergency shelter (for women and children only), financial aid and education, community and resource referral, and basic essentials to residents of Woodford County and Washington, IL who find themselves homeless, a victim of domestic violence, or in any other crisis situation.
Head Start Eureka is hosted at our church. This is a federally funded program that empowers families and promotes school readiness in preschool aged children. Tazewell Woodford Head Start serves approximately 350 families in the surrounding communities.
Their teachers follow a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the Head Start Framework and Illinois Learning Standards. They also work with surrounding school districts and agencies to serve individual needs. Along with educational services they provide health, nutrition, transportation, parent involvement, and family services.
